Learn how to define, explore, conserve, utilize and manage cultural heritage via a e-Learning plattform. The 5 week course starts on March 4 and is organised by RWTH Aachen University.

About this course

In recent decades, the sustainable conservation of cultural heritage has become a crucial global challenge. The Faculty of Architecture of RWTH Aachen University has amassed its expertise in this field into a new online course called “Cultural Heritage in Transformation”. In the course, the learners are provided with the skills to define, explore, conserve, utilize and manage cultural heritage. Throughout the course, case studies drawn from the City of Aachen and beyond are used as examples.

Die nachhaltige Sicherung des kulturellen Erbes hat sich in den letzten Dekaden weltweit zu einer zentralen Herausforderung entwickelt. Die Fakultät für Architektur der RWTH Aachen University hat ihre Expertise in dem Gebiet zu einem neuen Onlinekurs gebündelt. Unter dem Titel “Cultural Heritage in Transformation” wird auf der e-Learning-Plattform edX vermittelt, wie kulturelles Erbe definiert, erfasst, bewahrt und für die räumliche Entwicklung genutzt werden kann. Hierfür werden Fallbeispiele aus der Stadt Aachen und anderen Regionen verwenden.
